Mother
Kauravas and Pandavas had similar genes coming from Sage Parashar and Sage Ved Vyas but they were different in their acts and energy levels. Gandhari and Kunti made the difference. In a family of four brothers, we see children of each family in different levels of energy. What makes them different from one another? The mother.
When sperm fertilizes an egg, the egg becomes a zygote. The zygote goes through a process of becoming an embryo and developing into a fetus. The zygote typically has 46 chromosomes 23 from the biological mother and 23 from the biological father. Chromosomes are made up of long strands of DNA, which contain all the body's genes. Each chromosome has very specific chapters that tell the cell what kinds of characteristics you will have (like eye colour and hair colour, etc). But there is one special, the mitochondrial DNA that produces ATP which is source of energy to our body. It is called the power house, which gives energy power to each cell. All other DNA come from the parents 50:50 but Mitochondria and their DNA only come from the mother to the baby.
We get 100% mitochondrial DNA from the mother. Our mother gets it from her mother and our father also gets it from his mother. The God of power in each individual is therefore the Mother which is present in the form of Adi Shakti, Ma Bhagavati, the mother of the universe.
All the perfect mantras, pooja of Maa Durga work on a subtle level to energise and empower us, therefore, worshiping Mother and Mother Goddess have been given highest importance in Hinduism.
