Ganga Sati and Panbai

Ganga Sati was a wife of Kahalsangji Bapu of Samadhiala village of Umrala taluka of Bhavnagar District of Gujarat.

Young Kahalsang was not ready for marriage and went to Girnar with his cousin for Sanyas. But a Sadhu met him in Girnar returned him for a life Sansari Saint. He then married to Ganga and Panbai came as Vadaran with Ganga.

The couple was living a life of Bhakti and they didn't have children. One day when Kahalsang gave life to a dead cow of a Brahmin, Ganga Sati objected the early disclosure if his Santtva. Kahalsang, then took a Samadhi in 3 days and told the villagers to bury his dead body like a Saint. But the villagers put the body on pyre for cremation. But half the body didn't burn for 1.5 days. Finally, with lot of prayer to the Soul of Kahalsang Bapu, the cremation was completed.

Ganga Sati and Panbai, after the death of Kahalsang Bapu lived a life of Bhakti. Every evening, there used to a Satsang at their living campus near the Samadhi of Kahalsang Bapu.

Ganga Sati used to explained the spiritual messages to Panbai and others present through dialogue. And one man Bhudardas Shrimali (SC Brahmin) of nearby Piprali village a regular visitor of Satsang, living in a cottage of the campus was converting the prose Satsangs of Ganga Sati and Panbai into poetic Bhajans.
